Perseus makes solid progress on Nyanzaga construction
ASX-listed Perseus Mining says it is making solid progress at the Nyanzaga gold project, in Tanzania, as bulk earthworks continue to lay the foundation for future infrastructure.
The company says the process plant earthworks are advancing steadily, with key areas including primary crushing, pre-leach, grinding and carbon-in-leach (CIL) now successfully handed over to the company’s engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contractor Lycopodium.
The company notes that construction offices for both the EPCM and owners’ team are complete and operational.
Additionally, work on the permanent camp is accelerating, with 13 slabs poured for senior buildings, providing 104 accommodation rooms.
Brickwork has reached ring beam level on four buildings, offering an additional 16 accommodation rooms. Perseus adds that the Resettlement Housing Program remains a top priority, with strong progress made over the past month.
Moreover, the Ngoma bypass road, a vital new access route to the site, is nearing completion.
“We look forward to providing further updates from Nyanzaga as construction advances, ahead of first gold targeted for the first quarter of calendar year 2027,” the company says.
